Hildrun Sundseth brings over 25 years of years of political, public policy and advocacy experience in the health and research field to the NGO world after a long career in industry. On retirement Hildrun took up the challenge of improving cancer control in Europe. Heading the Brussels office of the European Cancer Patient Coalition, she masterminded the contribution of patients to the EU cancer policy agenda. This resulted in two Joint Actions on Cancer.
As EIWH President she contributes her guidance on policy and strategy to make gender equity in public health, bio-medical research, treatment and care a priority. She has overseen the research and editing of various EIWH Policy briefs on how major diseases affect women, including vaccination and safe medicines use in Pregnancy and Lactation. Hildrun sits on the European Medicines Agency PCWP for the last 10 years where she contributes the patient perspective on safe medicines use by women, children and older people.
