Professor Marc Bardou
CHU de Dijon, INSERM
Marc Bardou is Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist by training. He is also Professor of clinical Pharmacology. He did his medical school and residency in Paris and is now practicing in Dijon’s University Hospital.
He holds several positions in regulatory bodies, such as the French Medicines Agency where he is leading the market approval committee or the French Public Health Agency where he has just been coopted as a member of the expert group in charge of prevention and health promotion.
Marc Bardou has been conducting research on maternal health for several years, mostly dealing with pregnancy related conditions, such as preterm delivery. He is now focusing on socio-economic health inequalities particularly for prenatal care or cervical cancer screening, as it has been shown that socioeconomically disadvantaged women face issues in interacting with the health care system.
