Professor Helen Dolk

Helen Dolk is Professor of Epidemiology and Health Services Research at Ulster University UK. She is a former Project Leader / Director of EUROCAT (1999-2014), Principal Investigator/President of EUROmediCAT (focusing on assessment of the use and risks of medication in pregnancy) and among other research is working as member of ZIKAPLAN on global birth defect surveillance.
Helen’s research and publications encompass the effects of maternal illness and medication use, environmental pollutants, nutrition, and socioeconomic factors on the health of the baby, and the experience of mothers in relation to decision-making.
