Dr. Terje Peetso
Head of Policy Sector in the CNECT Unit E-Health, Wellbeing and Ageing, DG Connect
Dr. Terje Peetso is the Head of Sector “eHealth and Ageing Policy” in the European Commission’s Unit on eHealth, Wellbeing and Ageing in DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology. Dr. Peetso joined the Unit in 2011 as a policy and project officer. In 2014, Dr. Peetso was the EU fellow in the University of Southern California (USA), where her research focused on obstacles hindering the introduction of eHealth into healthcare systems. She joined the European Commission in 2003 in DG SANCO’s Risk Assessment Unit, and in 2006 she became policy officer in the area of tobacco control. Dr. Peetso holds a diploma in medicine from the University of Tartu, Estonia.
