Professor Corinne De Vries

Corinne de Vries heads the Office for Science and Innovation Support in the Human Medicines Research & Development Support Division at the European Medicines Agency. This Office was established in March 2015 and supports the activities of the Innovation Task Force, the Business Pipeline, EMA involvement in externally funded regulatory science activities, and the development and implementation of extrapolation considerations in medicines assessment.
The Office has been established to, in close collaboration with colleagues across the Agency, further develop these activities to help enhance the innovation, development and availability of necessary medicines for the benefit of public health.
Corinne is a pharmacist and an epidemiologist by training, has a degree in medical ethics and law, and gained 20 years’ research experience in academia before making the move to the regulatory environment. She is a visiting professor of pharmacoepidemiology at the University of Bath in the UK.
