Not recommending pomalidomide, also known as Imnovid, for treating multiple myeloma.
Multiple myeloma is a cancer that affects plasma cells, i.e. white blood cell found in bone marrow. Although incurable, there are a number of treatments that help slow the disease progress and improve quality of life. NICE recommends thalidomide for most patients and bortezomib for people unable to take thalidomide and also as an option after first treatment has stopped working. …more
